There are many reasons people seek counseling. I welcome the opportunity to meet with you, discuss your needs, and join you in your journey of self-discovery and growth.
Individual Counseling
Marriage counseling, or couples therapy is a kind of counseling that focuses specifically on marriages and relationships. Marriage counseling is a safe place for couples to bring their problems and work toward healthy solutions. Couples will be encouraged to identify strengths and weaknesses, communication patterns, beliefs about marital roles, and areas of conflict or disagreement, and goals for their marriage.
Marriage Counseling
Individual counseling is counseling focused on the individual’s immediate or near future concerns. Individual counseling is a one-on-one discussion between the counselor and the client, who is the person seeking treatment. Individual counseling may include issues dealing with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, health issues, parenting issues, strengthening boundaries, and looking at behavioral patterns.
Children Ages 7 and up
Child counseling is a type of therapy that focuses on young children who have experienced trauma, grief or behavioral issues. Some children may need help dealing with divorce, the loss of a loved one, school behavioral issues, ADHD, or identifying/ expressing anger or emotions in a healthy way. The therapist or counselor will work closely with parents to help children learn healthy coping skills related to his or her specific issues.
Adolescent Counseling
Adolescent counseling is counseling aimed at young people to help them make sense of their feelings, behaviors and thoughts. Statistics report that one in five teens struggle with depression. Adolescents may also struggle with challenges such as dealing with divorce, bullying, mood disorders such as anxiety or bipolar disorder. Counseling is a safe place for teenagers to talk about their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors with a trained professional.
